On November 17th, 18th and 19th, 2021, the partners of the Easy ECVET project met for its first learning activity at Bâtiment CFA Normandie (Rouen, France). They were accompanied by pedagogical staffs involved in mobility actions in their own VET centres. Therefore, 22 persons spent 3 days exchanging about how mobility is implemented within their structures and discussing about the mobility learning outcomes they wish to formally recognise and how, with which tools.
Some of the mobility-specific learning outcomes they wish to be able to recognise are: cross-cultural communication skills, cross-cultural team work skills, ability for curiosity, capacity to gain autonomy / independence, capacity of adaptation, ability for problem-solving, learning of a country-specific professional practice, etc.
The participants suggested that these learning outcomes could be evaluated through a storytelling, such as: mobility report, a novel, a theatre play, a presentation in front of the trainers in charge and/or other apprentices, an online diary to be completed on an application such as Padlet, etc. This could be included in the Europass for assessment.
A mobility experience could also be assessed through an Open Badge specifying the type of mobility the apprentice experimented (short, long, in group, individual), where (country) and when (year).
Obviously, at this stage, the work group is still in a thinking and reflective process, and continues to study various possibilities to feed the project.
The next learning activity will occur on June or September 2022; in the meantime, the pilot partners will continue the work, and will meet in Malaga (Spain) on January 18th, 19th and 20th, 2022.
