FFB and CCCA-BTP are developing in France, along with other 23 European partners, the project Skills Blueprint for the Construction Industry, co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme and with number agreement 600885-EPP-1-2018-1-ES-EPPKA2-SSA-B. The main aim of this project is to develop a long-term alliance between the concerned stakeholders (employers, workers, training centres, public authorities) for a better anticipation of the skills needed in the construction industry and to ensure a corresponding adaptation of the training schemes.
It will focus on 3 key areas: digitalisation, energy efficiency and circular economy. During the project, existing and emerging skills needed on the construction market will be identified and the responsiveness of vocational education and training (VET) systems will be enhanced, so that the identified needs can be translated into vocational curricula. The results of the project will be assessed and developed, in each country, by national experts gathered within National Advisory Groups (NAGs). These experts will also contribute to the effective implementation and final impact of project outcomes. The main aim of this NAG is to get external feedback enabling the partners to improve their project. Sharing of knowledge and mutual learning from good practices are also the NAG objectives.
The first meeting of the French NAG, set up by the FFB (French Construction Federation) in collaboration with the CCCA-BTP, takes place on July 1st, 2020 (online) with more than 15 participants. The following topic are foreseen in the agenda:
- Environment and context of the project.
- General presentation of the project (organization, participants, work packages…).
III. The National Advisory Group (NAG): role, functioning, expectations.
- Work being carried out.
- Presentation of the first results and documents published.
- Definition of the modalities of cooperation of the French NAG.
